A gravel lot, a busy street, or a cloudy sky behind your inventory makes even great products look ordinary. The Add Backdrop tool cuts each product out of its original photo — preserving it exactly as photographed — and places it on your branded company backdrop, for an entire batch of photos in one run. Every listing photo comes out looking like it was shot in the same professional studio.

What You'll Need

• Your backdrop image — a branded background or border with your company name, colors, or logo on it
• Your inventory photos (JPG, PNG, and HEIC are all supported — iPhone photos work as-is)

Step 1 — Upload Your Backdrop

Open Add Backdrop from your dashboard and drop your backdrop image into the first upload box. You upload it once per run and every product gets placed on it automatically. Keep the middle area of the backdrop clear — that's where the product lands — and put logos and branding along the top, bottom, or edges.

Step 2 — Upload Your Inventory Photos

Drop in all the product photos you want on the backdrop — up to 50 per batch. Each pair of images costs 1 credit, and the tool shows exactly how many credits the run will use before you start. Photos where the product is fully in frame with a little space around it give the cleanest cutouts.

Step 3 — Choose Placement Options

• Product Size — small (lots of breathing room), medium (recommended), or large (fills the frame)
• Placement — center, lower (recommended — sits between center and bottom, right where most backdrops have their ground area), or bottom
• Drop Shadow— adds a realistic ground shadow under each product. Leave it on: without a shadow, products can look like they're floating.

Step 4 — Process and Download

Hit the process button and let it run — typically 1–2 minutes depending on how many images you uploaded. When it's done, review each result, then download images one at a time or grab the whole batch as a single ZIP file, ready to post.

Tips for Best Results

• Shoot products against a reasonably distinct background — the cutout is done automatically, and clear separation between product and surroundings gives the cleanest edges
• Double-check photos with thin parts (trailer rails, chains, mesh, lattice) before posting — busy originals occasionally need a cleaner source photo
• Design your backdrop with branding at the top and bottom and open space in the middle, like a photo studio wall — it works with every placement setting
